Structured Cabling,
Network Builds &
Infrastructure Done Right.

Everything your business runs on โ€” every call, every file, every camera feed, every cloud connection โ€” travels through physical cable before it goes anywhere else. If the cable is wrong, everything built on top of it is wrong. RavenCore designs, installs, certifies, and manages the physical infrastructure layer that your entire technology stack depends on.

The Reality

Most Cabling Jobs In San Diego Are Done Fast, Done Cheap, And Done Wrong.

You've seen it โ€” cable runs draped over ceiling tiles, patch panels with no labels, unterminated jacks, Cat5e in a building that needs Cat6A, fiber runs with no test results, and MDF closets that look like a bomb went off. That's what happens when a GC's low-bid electrician handles your structured cabling. It passes inspection. It doesn't pass performance testing. And five years later, you're paying someone to rip it all out and start over.

Unlabeled, Undocumented Infrastructure

No labels on patch panels. No documentation showing which jack goes where. No as-built drawings. When something fails, your IT team spends hours tracing cables by hand instead of minutes pulling up a document. That's not infrastructure โ€” it's archaeology.

Intermittent Connectivity Issues

Dropped connections, slow network speeds, and WiFi dead zones that nobody can explain โ€” until you pull the ceiling tile and find kinked cable runs, improper bend radii, crushed conduit, and terminations that were never tested. Bad physical layer causes problems that no software fix can solve.

No Test Results or Certification

A cable run that isn't Fluke-tested is a cable run you're trusting on faith. Most low-bid installers don't own a cable certifier โ€” they terminate, plug in a toner, and call it done. That's not certification. That's a coin flip on whether your 10Gb backbone will actually run at 10Gb.

Infrastructure That Can't Scale

Your business added 20 employees since the office was built out. The MDF is full. There are no spare ports. The WiFi can't handle the density. And the cable plant wasn't designed for VoIP, cameras, and cloud applications running simultaneously. Now you're retrofitting instead of expanding.

RavenCore Services

From Cable Pull To Certified Handoff.

RavenCore handles the entire physical infrastructure lifecycle โ€” design, procurement, installation, termination, testing, certification, labeling, documentation, and ongoing support. Every project is executed by our own engineers with our own equipment. We don't subcontract cable pulls.

01

Structured Cabling

Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling for office buildings, medical facilities, warehouses, and multi-tenant properties. Horizontal runs, backbone risers, MDF/IDF builds, patch panel termination, and every run Fluke-certified with documented test results.

02

Network Infrastructure Builds

Complete network deployments: switches, routers, firewalls, access points, UPS systems, and rack builds. Designed for your current needs and your growth plan โ€” not just what fits in the budget today. Every deployment includes full configuration, labeling, and documentation.

03

Wireless Network Design & Deployment

Enterprise WiFi engineering with predictive heat mapping, AP placement planning, channel optimization, and post-installation validation surveys. Designed for density, not just coverage โ€” because "five bars" means nothing if 80 people are on the same access point.

04

Surveillance & Camera Systems

IP camera systems with PoE infrastructure, NVR configuration, remote viewing, and integration with your existing access control. From single-office installations to multi-building deployments with centralized monitoring. Includes all cabling, mounting, and configuration.

05

Access Control & Security

Badge readers, key fob systems, electric strikes, mag locks, and door controllers with cloud-based management platforms. Full installation including cabling, mounting, controller programming, credential provisioning, and integration with camera systems.

06

Office Buildouts & Relocations

Turnkey technology deployment for new offices, tenant improvements, and relocations. We coordinate with your GC, electrician, and furniture vendor to install network drops, WiFi, cameras, access control, conference room AV, and server room infrastructure โ€” ready for move-in day.

07

MDF / IDF & Server Room Builds

Properly built telecom rooms: organized rack systems, labeled patch panels, cable management, grounding, UPS power, environmental monitoring, and access security. If your MDF looks like a disaster, we redesign it from scratch โ€” labeled, documented, and photographed.

08

Conference Room & AV Systems

Displays, soundbars, cameras, ceiling microphones, wireless presentation systems, and Teams/Zoom room controllers installed and configured. From a single huddle room to a 20-room corporate campus โ€” clean installs with hidden cabling and one-touch operation.

The RavenCore Standard

Every Project Leaves Our Hands The Same Way.

These aren't upsells. These are included in every RavenCore engagement because this is the minimum standard for infrastructure that's built to last.

Fluke-Certified Test Results

Every cable run is tested with a Fluke DSX CableAnalyzer and the results are included in your project documentation. Not a continuity toner. Not a "it lights up" check. Full certification to TIA/EIA standards with pass/fail results you can hand to any auditor.

Complete Labeling System

Every jack, every patch panel port, every cable run โ€” labeled with a consistent naming convention that your IT team can follow without calling us. Brady labels, heat-shrink identifiers, and color-coded patching. Your MDF will be the cleanest room in the building.

As-Built Documentation

Floor plans showing every drop location, riser diagrams, rack elevations, port assignments, and a cable schedule mapping every run from origin to termination. Delivered as PDF and editable Visio/AutoCAD files. When someone asks "where does this cable go?" the answer is in the binder.

Photo Documentation

Before, during, and after photos of every MDF, IDF, rack, pathway, and termination point. Above-ceiling photos showing cable support, J-hooks, and pathway routing. Complete visual record of what's behind the walls โ€” because you can't inspect what you can't see.

Clean Pathway & Cable Management

J-hooks or cable tray for every horizontal run. Proper bend radius on every turn. Velcro ties โ€” never zip ties on data cable. Vertical and horizontal cable management in every rack. Pathways that are accessible, organized, and built for the next person who has to work in them.

Warranty & Support

Workmanship warranty on every installation. If a termination fails, a cable run tests marginal, or a label falls off โ€” we come back and fix it at no cost. RavenCore projects are also eligible for ongoing RavenEye managed IT support to maintain the infrastructure long-term.

Do you do your own cable pulls or subcontract them?

We do our own work. RavenCore engineers install, terminate, test, and certify every cable run. We don't hand your project to a subcontractor and hope it gets done right. Our name is on every termination, every label, and every test result โ€” because we're the ones who did it.

What types of cable do you install?

We install Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, single-mode fiber, multi-mode fiber (OM3/OM4), and coaxial cable. For new construction and buildouts, we recommend Cat6A as the standard โ€” it supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet, PoE++ for cameras and access points, and has a 25-year performance lifespan. Cat6A costs marginally more than Cat6 to install and saves thousands in future retrofit costs.

Do you provide test results for every cable run?

Yes โ€” every single run. We test with Fluke DSX CableAnalyzer equipment and provide full certification reports to TIA/EIA-568 standards. Each report shows wire map, length, insertion loss, NEXT, PSNEXT, return loss, and overall pass/fail status. These reports are included in your project documentation at no additional cost.

Can you coordinate with our GC on a buildout?

Yes โ€” and we prefer it. We coordinate directly with your general contractor, electrician, and furniture vendor on pathway routing, power drops, backing board placement, and construction scheduling. We've worked on enough commercial buildouts to know how to stay off the critical path and still get our infrastructure installed before the drywall goes up.

How much does structured cabling cost per drop in San Diego?

Cat6A drops in San Diego typically run $200 to $350 per drop depending on run length, pathway complexity, ceiling type, and volume. Fiber runs, camera installations, and access control are priced per project based on scope. We provide detailed proposals after a free site survey โ€” no ballpark guessing, no surprise change orders.

Can RavenCore also manage the network equipment after installation?

Yes โ€” that's the RavenCore-to-RavenEye handoff. After we build and certify your physical infrastructure, RavenEye can take over ongoing management of the switches, access points, firewalls, and servers that sit on top of it. You get one partner who built the infrastructure and manages it long-term โ€” no finger-pointing between your cabling vendor and your IT provider.
